1. How do I book a holiday with you?
You can book by calling 0404 41647 or Int 00 353 404 41647 seven days a week ( 9am – 10pm) or if you would like us to call you please send us an email with details of your enquiry and how to contact you.
2. What is the earliest time I can arrive with my Tent, Motorhome or Caravan?
The office on site opens at 9am, but the first sites will be available from 10am in the morning on the day of arrival. We do our best to get people onto sites as early as possible but if the site is full, we do have to wait till people vacate their sites who are leaving on that particular day.
3.How do I pay for the barrier free toll on the M50 around the city of Dublin?
There are two ways of doing this:
- Ring 1890 50 10 50 and pay using a credit card
- By Internet www.eflow.ie
4.What time will I be able to get into my Mobile Home, Log Cabin or Appartment?
All accommodation will be available from 4pm on day of arrival.
5. Do I need to bring all my own sheets and bedding?
The mobile homes and log cabin have duvets (1 double and 4 single) and 8 pillows provided, You must supply your own duvet covers, pillow-cases, sheets, towels and tea towels. In the apartment all sheets, duvet, duvet covers etc. are supplied.
6. Is there an iron and Ironing board in my accommodation?
No, but they are available to rent from the office. €10 deposit on the Iron and 50c to hire it.
7. Does any of the accommodation have Dvds or Video players?
No, but you are welcome to bring your own and we will try to make sure you can connect to the television. Don’t forget your scart leads as we do not supply them in the office.
8. Can I bring a dog to River Valley?
Dogs are allowed on site in your own Motor home, tent or caravan but they must be kept on a lead at all times.
9. Can you bring Dogs or Cats to the accommodation?
We do not allow animals into the accommodation, we have nothing against animals but we feel are guests vary from week to week in the accommodation and that it wouldn’t be fair to expect a family with a small child to occupy accommodation after an animal had been in it for a week no matter how well we clean it.
10. Do you supply baby furniture?
We do not supply baby furniture for the mobile homes, you must bring your own.
11. What time do we have to leave our accommodation when our holiday is over?
We ask our guests to vacate their accommodation by 11am on the morning of departure, this gives us time to get the accommodation ready for the next guests.
12. Will my accommodation be exactly the same as the ones featured on your website?
The pictures featured on our website are for illustrative purposes only. In addition, although we try hard to make sure your accommodation is similar to that shown, some mobile homes may differ in age and furnishings.
13. How much deposit do I have to pay to book accommodation?
To reserve your accommodation we ask for 50% of the full cost.
14. When is the balance due?
In order to pick up your key of your accommodation the balance is paid on arrival.
15. Will I get a receipt when I pay for my accommodation?
Yes, We will post you out a receipt in the form of a confirmation.
16. Is there Wifi at River valley?
Wifi is available at reception, please ask at office when you arrive.
17. Where is the closest shop?
River Valley is located in a little village, so there is a small shop in the village, walking distance from the site which is open from 7am – 6pm everyday.
18. How far is the closest supermarket from the site?
There are supermarkets in Arklow town, which is 7 miles from the site. In Arklow you will find Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Aldi, Pettits and Lidl.
19 . Do you have security on site?
We do have security every night on the site during June,July, August and Bank Holiday weekends. But we also live on the site, so we can be contacted if there is a need.
20. Where is the closest doctor?
The closest doctor is in wicklow town in Westmount clinic. Phone no: 0404 67381. After 6pm call phone No. and they will give you a phone no. for caredoc.( After hour service).
21. How do I get to the doctor?
Go out of gate of park and turn right, continue straight until you reach the N11 or Lil Doyles Pub, then take a left turn for Dublin or Wicklow. Continue straight until you see the Beehive pub on your right, turn right at the pub off the N11 heading for wicklow town. On reaching the town you will come to a T junction, turn Left, go straight through a roundabout and then pass Tesco and a service station on your right. Take the next right, pass road on left and the clinic is the next entrance on your left.
22. What is in Redcross village?
In the village there are two pubs,shop,take-away,craft shop,clothes shop,school and a church of Ireland church. Roman Catholic churches are located 2.5 miles north and south of the village – Barndarrig and Barniskey.
23. Can I book a hen/stag party?
We are sorry to advise that River Valley does not offer any accommodation for stag or hen parties. We are a family orientated holiday and as such we do not encourage traditional stag or hen parties.
